The Center for Black Excellence has a mission to radically transform the educational experience of Black children. They are a backbone organization for a collaborative of community-based organizations and schools. They are building up people's capacity to drive change and connecting those change makers to each other to increase cohesion and collaboration across our community.

To address systemic inequities, historically low academic achievement, and a lack of belonging for Black students, the CBE uses a system of C.A.R.E.: Community, Accountability, Resilience, and Empowerment. Together with their partners, parents and caretakers, community-based organizations, educators, and policymakers, they work intentionally at the systemic, symptomatic, and systematic levels. Their work is advancing a culture of Black excellence, unifying and elevating the Black educational experience. The vision? A world where we believe in and enable every Black child to thrive. You can support their mission to radically transform the educational experience of black children by volunteering, becoming a partner or making a donation.
